Building Our Own Playground
You know what's harder than building for clients? Building for your own team. Everyone has opinions, the scope creeps because "we can just add that," and there's no external deadline keeping you honest.
As the front-end developer at Consume & Create, I rebuilt our agency site from scratch. The goal was to create something that showcases our personality while actually being useful for prospective clients trying to figure out if we're the right fit.
What I Built:
- Nuxt application with Contentful CMS for easy content updates
- Interactive project showcases with hover states that preview work
- A contact form that doesn't feel like filling out a tax return
- Performance scores in the high 90s despite heavy animation
The site needed to work as hard as we do—late nights, weird edge cases, the occasional chaos. It's been live for over a year and has become our best salesperson.
